On the road for fun, emergency, business or work - keep your camera handy. Now I do not suggest taking photos while driving and I shall not say whether I have or not. Whether it is a sunrise with a particular fun color or sky contrast, the sky is a wonderful subject to photograph. Sunrises and sunsets are a favorite when traveling. Coming from the Big Sky country, Montana - the sky, clouds, sunrises and sunsets are beautiful with the wide open skies.
My recent trip found me traveling from Chandler, Arizona to Bozeman, Montana. Just myself and my dog - a journey to assist my family. Traveling solo is not my favorite way to travel - therefore Bert traveled with me. She is my best travel buddy - sleep is her normal style - stop for potty and food, both for myself and of course for Bert.

Arizona is warm, green and though they say they are in winter, there is no snow and no snow shovels can be found. I sat in my shorts on the patio, neighbors knew instantly that I was an out of town guest. The natives are in their coats, bundled up, but at 70 degrees who really can have a coat on?
Traveling along - signs and signage along the road can be fun to catch those signs that are unusual or unique to an area. Again, coming from Montana where at one point we did not have a speed limit, just prudent and safe - which varies according to drivers. So you can only guess my excitement when I saw the 80 mph signage. Utah has periodic parts of Interstate 15 where the speed limit is 80 mph. Pump up the speed by 5 mph. Just plain exciting. Bridges are a draw for me. Whether a short bridge, a long bridge, straight or curved, wood or metal, they each have their own special attraction.
Corners in the road along the way can provide some unexpected sites. Colorado has a Budweiser plant. Looks like grain bins, but that Budweiser sign, hum - not your typical farm site.
So this travel has come to an end. A quick trip - stopping only for food, potty and sleeping - no time for other stopping.
Safe travels in the middle of winter is a blessing.
Back to Montana, home and those that did not travel with me - nothing like coming home - always excited to open the front door to my home.
Have fun - be safe in your travels. Remember do not forget your camera.
